The best coworkings in Tulum (2026): tested in person

Tulum has fewer coworkings than Playa del Carmen or Mexico City, but the ones it has are more than enough — if you pick according to how you work. We didn’t build this list scraping reviews: we work remotely here every day (we run a coliving and build the software that manages it), so these places are literally our rotating office. Updated July 2026 — Tulum’s coworking scene moves fast, and we already dropped a couple of spots from this list that closed.

The formal coworking: Digital Jungle

Tulum’s coworking hub, in La Veleta. A space built for friction-free work: stable internet, comfortable seating, and the most consistent nomad community in town. If your week is video calls and deep work, this is the serious option. It’s in our guide with a map.

Coffee + laptop: Tulum’s real work scene

In Tulum, remote work happens as much in cafés as in formal coworkings — and there are two we genuinely recommend:

• Vai Ven: a neighborhood café with good vibes for a couple of hours with your laptop. Not in our formal guide yet, but a regular team stop when we need to get out of the apartment.
• Nimai Coffee Shop: specialty coffee with a fresh brunch menu, great for morning sessions. This one IS in our guide, with a map and details.

Two rules of coexistence at any café-cowork: order in proportion to the hours you occupy, and video calls go with headphones.

The alternative almost nobody counts: your coliving

Here’s our declared bias: if you live in a coliving with good internet, paid coworking becomes optional.
